It all started with a story, a little girl hiding books and flashlights under her pillow. An avid reader from a young age, I often stayed up long past bedtime to finish the book I was reading. I gazed at the Lake of Shining waters with Anne from Anne of Green Gables, I traveled across the the prairie with Mary, Ma and Pa in the big covered wagon from the Little House on the Prairie and I wished I really could live the stories from inside those pages.
In high school, I picked up the camera for a yearbook assignment. I had joined the staff to write stories and only agreed to take photos of that soccer game because the Editor-in-Chief asked. It was not long before I was hooked because I saw the value that good photos added to my stories and spreads.
These days, the stories I like the best are the real ones. I believe the greatest stories exist not in the pages of a Jane Austen novel, but right here in your home. Capturing tangible moments in these stories with my camera, I give people the opportunity to cherish their story and share it with others.
